Recycled Percussion Postpones 24 Hour Concert

Illness to band member forces rescheduling

Las Vegas, Nev. (November 16, 2011)—Tropicana headliners Recycled Percussion have been forced to postpone their 24 hour concert due to illness. The Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip was set to host this momentous concert that was scheduled to begin Tuesday, November 22 at 10:00 p.m. and go through Wednesday, November 23rd at 10:00 p.m. An alternative date is being sought.

Doctors diagnosed band member and founder Justin Spencer with a severe viral infection and exhaustion on Sunday and have advised him not to perform the 24 hour show this week. While the 24 hour show has been rescheduled until organizers can find an alternative date, the band will continue to perform its regular show nightly at Tropicana.

Recycled Percussion will continue as the celebrity spokespersons for Lotus Broadcasting’s holiday toy drive, the proceeds of which will go to benefit Toys For Tots of Southern Nevada.

“I am devastated that we are forced to postpone this week’s 24 hour concert,” said Spencer. “I have never missed a show in my entire career but I have no choice but to listen to the advice of my doctors. We will work with the great people at The Hard Rock Cafe to find another date as soon as we can and we are still committed to helping Lotus Broadcasting collect toys for all the kids in Southern Nevada. Right now I have to focus on getting some rest and getting better.”

With the 24 hour show, Recycled Percussion will break the record for the longest show performed by a band in U.S. history. The junk rockers will be joined by fellow Strip entertainers, members of the media and other familiar faces. Throughout the 24 hour time span, these special guests will bang around with Recycled Percussion or perform their own special talents.

WHEN EATING THROUGH PARIS BE SURE TO PLAN AHEAD

I love to eat.  I’m not talking about just eating when I’m hungry and need fuel to keep me going.  I love to eat whenever possible, and when traveling will typically plan entire trips around meals.  When my wife and I visited Paris recently, this was how I expected to plan our daily itinerary.  [...]

CEATTA’S WEEK IN NYC WITH CARROT TOP

My whirlwind trip to NYC starts off with a trip to Regis & Kelly.  We get picked up in a van, props in tow, prop master Jon and fellow comedian Charlie Varicola accompany us as we drive to what feels like only a few blocks away, yet takes us about 30 minutes, typical NYC commute.  [...]
