Legendary Pizza Maker Dom DeMarco Is Bringing Di Fara's Award-Winning Pizza from New York to Las Vegas
Dom Marco's Pizzeria & Bar Set to Open in November
Las Vegas, Nev. (October 24, 2011) – Imagine pizza so incredibly delicious that New Yorkers and tourists-in-the-know happily stand in line for three hours to get a pie or even just a slice. Starting this November (exact date still TBD), Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria & Bar will provide Las Vegas residents and tourists alike with the opportunity for a taste of the legendary pizza plus a variety of other dishes within a comfortable restaurant environment.
"Di Fara Pizza has been an institution in New York for more than 45 years with a worldwide following and we are thrilled to be continuing the legacy in Las Vegas," said Dom DeMarco's Restaurant & Pizzeria co-owner, Albert Scalleat. "People from all over the world visit Las Vegas and there are a number of loyal followers in the area who have been reaching out to us through our Facebook page and website asking when we'll be open. They are excited to experience Dom DeMarco's and get a taste of New York right here in Las Vegas."
For more than four decades, DeMarco and Di Fara Pizza have received lavish praise from neighborhood folks, celebrities, chowhounds, internationally renowned food critics, and infamous chefs. TODAY Show, Good Morning America, Food & Wine and Bon Appétit have all covered Dom DeMarco's pizza-making skills. And, in a town where competition for the title "best pizza" is fierce, this landmark has often been named "#1 Pizzeria in New York" and "best Italian Restaurant" by prestigious publications including Zagat, New York magazine and New York Daily News.
Dom DeMarco's mouthwatering, award-winning pies are carefully handcrafted using closely guarded recipes and quality imported ingredients. Chef Enzo DeIuliis has spent the better part of the past year cooking along-side Dom DeMarco in his Brooklyn restaurant, learning the tricks of the trade, and will be re-producing in Las Vegas the legendary pizzas with the exact imported ingredients that have New Yorkers waiting hours to taste, including a system that will replicate Brooklyn's water for the dough.
"Although we have a strict adherence to the Di Fara Pizza recipe and standards, we are updating the vintage Brooklyn menu with a variety of salads, a few pastas and sharing plates to go along with affordable and interesting wines and 12 craft beers on tap," said co-owner, Jeff LaPour.
The restaurant will also offer a lively bar scene for guests looking for great food, beer, wine and conversation; or just a place to stop in and catch the game on one of the restaurants few strategically placed TVs. The space will also include an indoor/outdoor design featuring a patio that will seat approximately 80 guests, offering the west-side a great al fresco dining experience.
"It's our goal to make Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria & Bar a fun, casual neighborhood restaurant with great personality that keeps our neighbors coming back for more," LaPour added. "Just like with Di Fara Pizza in New York, we hope to become part of the Las Vegas family."

I love to eat. I’m not talking about just eating when I’m hungry and need fuel to keep me going. I love to eat whenever possible, and when traveling will typically plan entire trips around meals. When my wife and I visited Paris recently, this was how I expected to plan our daily itinerary. [...]
My whirlwind trip to NYC starts off with a trip to Regis & Kelly. We get picked up in a van, props in tow, prop master Jon and fellow comedian Charlie Varicola accompany us as we drive to what feels like only a few blocks away, yet takes us about 30 minutes, typical NYC commute. [...]
